Founder Bio – Uyo Okebie-Eichelberger

When Uyo Okebie-Eichelberger became a mom for the first time in 2009, with the birth of her daughter, Rumi, she was disappointed when all her options for nursing bras were ugly, matronly overpriced pieces that looked like something her grandmother would wear. The more she searched, the more daunting it became to beautiful well- made maternity and nursing bra. With more research, Uyo quickly realized that so many moms felt the way she did. They were all looking for more fashionable, high-quality options that wouldn’t break the bank. That was her AH-HA! moment. She decided to trade in her long days as a brand manager of Kraft Food’s Mac & Cheese for even longer days and nights as an entrepreneur.

In 2010, equipped with her Duke MBA and experience as a brand manager, Uyo took matters into her own hands, launching her first brand, You! Lingerie, (www.you-lingerie.com) a leading designer brand of chic maternity and nursing intimates and sleepwear cleverly made for fashionista moms. In the summer of 2014, Uyo launched a second brand, Preggo Leggings (www.preggoleggings.com), equal parts comfy and cute over the belly maternity leggings that help to support new and expecting moms throughout their motherhood journey. In 2020, she launched a third brand, Ashmi & Co. (www.shopashmi.co), a magical destination for moms to find unique luxuriously stylish designer clothes and accessories for infants and babies that garners all the “ooooh and ahhhhh” compliments.

Uyo’s meteoric rise as a serial entrepreneur began in the basement of her home. Her brands have since moved into their own 7000 square ft warehouse and office space. She is taking the maternity and baby industry by storm.

Today, Uyo Okebie-Eichelberger is the President & CEO of Made With Love Brands (www.MadeWithLoveBrands.com), the parent company of her brands. She has successfully built a seven-figure empire internationally. Her brands have been featured in several news publications and TV shows like The New York Times, HLN Morning Express, Glamour Magazine, Cosmopolitan, The Huffington Post, CNBC, The Today Show, E! News, OMG!, The Daily News UK, Pregnancy & Newborn, American Baby and Fit Pregnancy. Her brands are sold online and in several retail stores in North America, South America, Europe, Australia, Asia and Africa including big box retailers like Nordstrom, Maisonette and Macy’s.

Uyo currently resides in a beautiful quiet suburb of Atlanta with her husband, Xavier and two children. Being a mom is her favorite job.
